Most people believe that if they lose their job… the answer is simple. 

Go find another one. 

Update the resume.
Call a recruiter.
Start applying. 

And on the surface… that sounds reasonable. But what if the real answer isn’t to replace the job…

Now, you may or may not know who he is. 

He’s not a celebrity. He’s not some flashy internet personality. He’s not running around showing Lamborghinis and private jets.

And like most professionals… he started the traditional way.  

Client work. Projects. Trading time… for money. 

And if you’ve ever lived in that world, you know how it goes. 

Some months are great. Some months are quiet. 

You’re constantly chasing the next opportunity. 

Constantly wondering where the next check is coming from. 

And even if you’re good… even if you’re really good… 

There’s always that underlying instability. 

Because it’s still dependent on someone else. 

A client.
A project.
A decision that’s not yours. 

But at some point… he made a shift. 

Instead of building around transactions… he built around people. 

Instead of focusing on one-time income… he focused on ongoing value.

Now let’s slow this down… because this is where most people miss it. 

This is not about design. This is not about Chris Do specifically. This is about structure. 

Because once you see the structure… you start to realize this can apply to almost anything. 

Here’s what’s really happening. 

There’s a monthly recurring fee. There’s a very clear audience. In his case… freelancers and creatives. 

There’s ongoing value. 

Education.
Community.
Guidance.
Accountability. 

But here’s the part that most people get wrong. 

They think people stay because of content. They don’t. Content might get someone in the door… But it’s not what keeps them there. 

What keeps people in a membership… is connection. It’s progress. It’s identity.

That’s the shift. Not once. Not one transaction. But ongoing. 

Then from there… 

You pick a group. A very specific group. Not everyone. 

Not “people who want to make more money.” 

That’s too broad. 

You identify a real problem. Something they’re actively dealing with. Something that keeps showing up. 

And then… you create ongoing support around that problem. 

Guidance. Structure. Community. Accountability. 

And you charge monthly. 

That’s the model. 

Simple. 

Not easy… but simple.

You don’t need millions of people. You don’t need to go viral. You don’t need to be famous. You need the right people. Consistently. 

Because 100 people paying monthly… is very different than chasing 100 one-time transactions. 200 people… even more so.
