After college I went into mortgage banking. It's a transactional business that is great when interest rates are going down. It's horrible when interest rates are going up. You see, both economics and the type of business it is, transactional, are the problem.
No one told me that before, during or when I completed college.
SUCCESS PRICIPLE #1: Beware of careeers or businesses that have big swings during economic peaks and valleys.
SUCCESS PRINCIPLE #2: Beware of careers or businesses that are transactional. Careers or businesses that have continuity of income are better.
(There are many more SUCCESS PRINCIPLES you should know).
Makes sense, doesn't it? But how do you find that type of career or business?

When Lee Hecht Harrison brought me in to help their clients, I showed their clients, people who had been laid off from Fortune 1000 jobs, how to create the perfect plan based on their situation.
When I parted ways with Lee Hecht Harrison I had already met and benefited from one of the best mentors ever. I call him the Millionairre Maker, as many others do also.
One idea nearly doubled my income within three months.
Durng Covid, I moved from Kansas City to Puerto Rico, where my wife and I live during the winter. In the summer, we live in the Rocky Mountains.
I still help a small number of the clients that came to me from Lee Hecht Harrison, as well as some that were referred to me. Otherwise, I've semi-retired.
